In line with standard practice, most medical clinics will charge a penalty fee for late or missed appointments to deter people making appointments but not attending and preventing someone else unwell from being able to see a doctor.
A fee of $50 applies for appointments missed without 24 hours notice or if you are late for your appointment as this unfairly impacts other patients who have been waiting to be seen.
Unless medically urgent, you will also be asked to reschedule your appointment so that every patient waiting after you is not required to wait longer because you were late.
Our doctors endeavour to stay on time for appointments but there will be times when emergency cases or urgently unwell patients will need to be seen or take longer to manage resulting in patients having to wait. We hope people will be understanding of their fellow patients as anyone may need more time for care. You or your family member may suddenly be the one needing more time to be looked after or seen urgently, resulting in other patients having to wait.
Please be considerate to other patients and be punctual to your appointment. You may ask for a longer appointment slot if you have more than one medical issue or complicated issues to resolve.
Medicare rebate claims related to non-consultation charges are submitted online immediately after payment and processed automatically overnight into the bank account you have registered with Medicare.
If the Medicare rebate claim cannot be processed, a hardcopy receipt will be printed for you to take to the nearest Medicare office to manually process.
Surcharges and different rates may apply for various procedures, Employment Medicals, Insurance forms and medicals, Vaccines not government funded and Workers Compensation visits.
An admin fee applies for all requests for reprinting of lost prescriptions, misplaced referrals, pathology or radiology reports.
An admin fee of $40 applies for the transfer of complete medical files.
